Could you be a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter?

Have you ever thought about becoming a breastfeeding peer supporter? It’s a rewarding role that allows you to provide guidance and encouragement to new mothers who may be navigating the challenges of breastfeeding. As a peer supporter, you’d share your own experiences, offer practical tips, and provide emotional support, helping others feel more confident in their ability to breastfeed. Not only would you be making a real difference in the lives of families, but you’d also be part of a community dedicated to promoting healthy practices and empowering new parents. Plus, the skills and connections you gain can have a lasting impact on your personal and professional growth.

You can train with a number of organisations and you might be able to access free training if your intention is to volunteer in your local community. Contact a local hospital to ask about any available opportunities.
