Becoming a Birthkeeper

How did you find your calling? Was it in a dream? Did you always somehow just know? I recall yearning to become a mother from a young age. I was unaware that I would be so deeply called to walk the path of the Birthkeeper.

It was only when I became pregnant with my eldest child in 2018 that I decided to train as a Birth Doula with Conscious Birthing in Glastonbury. My thinking was that it would be a brilliant way to gather lots of juicy wisdom heading towards birth.

Up until then I had never felt quite such a soul igniting, gravitational pull to a particular area of education besides my passion for cultivating plants & for permaculture. My marvel at nature's majesty blossomed as I dived into the Birth Realm.

I was blessed with the most shattering and empowering homebirth and journeyed on into motherhood. There were challenges, there were triumphs. It was gritty. It was beyond blissful. I softened into my feminine and at times I pushed myself to my limits, swaying into my masculine.

It still is these things. My personal experience of Matrescence further fueled my desire to support others going through the same process.

Things that supported me were my loving network of friends & family and the self reflective, re-aligning, energy clearing practise of Yoga!

So with idea of offering those things which got me through hard times to the Mamas I support, I deepened my wisdom with the Postnatal Doula Course and Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training with Sally Parkes Yoga School.

How honoured I am to be co-creating such profound opportunities for unconditional love and acceptance in our universe. Here's to keeping the wisdom growing.

In Love & Light ♡
